I ,Sharmila Kasbekar, born in Mumbai with a lot of challenges of survival. My parents and my maternal uncle(s) ensured my survival with a lot of medical procedures to save me. Finally in the cozy environment of Hindu colony, Dadar(E) , I survived successfully. As it is said life is a game and is full of roller coaster rides where you enjoy the most as a free and relaxed time. My life too was the same. My childhood was awesome more than this – I can say I was in heaven.
Gradually as I was growing I looked cute , bagged healthy baby titles and each and everyone pampered me not only at home but in the whole colony. I was the daughter of many childless or daughterless couples. For me many were Mummy and Mamas. My parents took care of me as a delicate flower as my life safety was a big ??? as told by the doctor to my parents. Many places I had to compromise and was avoided from doing strenuous actions in my life. Due to this I was restrained from joining NCC and also dreaming of joining Armed Forces,
My maternal grandfather being my second mother next to my real mother took my whole care. My maternal uncle(s) also preserved me. They were and will remain as my Mentors in my life.
I thank God for giving me birth in such a beautiful caring family. In this phase few ladies tried to kidnap me saying that I was the daughter of some Doctor who resembled me.
My mother used to conduct manipuri dancing in Government class. I learned and enjoyed dancing with her. In this long run I achieved certificates for all stages till final level of dancing exams (5-7) from Bakhlebua University , Pune. Also I had the opportunity as a child artist but was not accepted by my family. I diid my schooling from I.E.S. English Medium School , earlier famous as King George school , at Hindu colony, Dadar (E). During this learning stage I always acquired top rank (in top 5) in school. I was known for my excellent abilities in extra-curricular activities along with my academics . I was further known in school , as my elder sister, being clever and smart, had already set a benchmark of always being a topper and grabbed scholarships in the same school. I also cleared with flying colors English /Marathi Maharashtra Vidyapeeth exams.Completed all the stages of Hindi Rashtra Vidyapeeth certification exams. I continued to enjoy my life.
As I attended 14 years I successfully passed my ten standard with flying colors and got admission in Ruia College in Science stream at Hindu colony only. WIth my mother’s ambition I grew up to dream of being a Doctor. In 12th standard with loads of sacrifices, my parents earning / saving in special tutions, I cleared my 12th with flying colors just to know that getting Medical admission in Mumbai was not possible as with their % cut off for admission I missed admission as a Medical student by 1% (i.e. just 3 marks). I decided not to learn any further and didn’t try for admission for further studies. My mother forced me (under pretext of my dear grandfather’s promise) to get admission for BSc. in one of the best colleges , D.G.Ruparel at Matunga (w) as per my acquired percentage. Meanwhile we were shifted to Mahim, which is my current stay as my childhood building was going under redevelopment. I continued to be disturbed due to this drastic change of my career , Even though it took quite a long time to settle , I bagged distinction in first year. Simultaneously my sister gave me further hope of chasing my dream of not only to be Doctor but also serving in the Armed Forces (my childhood dream). I gave the entrance exam for Armed Forces Medical College,Pune during my first year of Bsc. Since we were informed by our classes that AFMC informs the results to passed students by pos,t we waited for the post letters only. In the second year of my B.Sc we faced a tough time due to Hindu / Muslim 1992 riots. Only beautiful thing happened was that I became aunty (actually I am their Maa) of my sister’s elder daughter.Sooo sweet. She gave me the energy and second timeI again gave the AFMC entrance exam. Now though single I enjoy my life with my 2 niece(s). During this period one of my friend’s mother who stayed in Pune happen to meet my mother and to my shock of life got informed through her that my name appeared in the 2nd merit list of AFMC list which we were unaware, I dragged my life to B.Sc (my grandfather ensured this and left for heavenly abode during my result day and time only). Again I felt helpless without him. In this process my college professors came home and insisted my parents to forcing me to prepare for MBA entrance for the future. My sister supported this and daddy ensured that I give atleast PGDBM entrance exam of 3 top colleges as practice for future MMS main entrance exam because the same MMS entrance was already over. However I successfully got through the entrance , group discussion and interview from one of the PGDBM entrance which I appeared for practice, My dad immediately paid fees and got me admitted in one of the known Chetana Khandelwal Institute of Management and Research college situated at Bandra (E). SImultaneously as a hobby I also learned French through Alliance francaise de Bombay. I just missed my Diploma due to a clash of management exams.During this phase I got one hope to serve people though not as a Doctor but through pharma marketing.
I enjoyed this profession, worked as MR and then upgraded myself with almost 8 companies in pharma industry. I could serve people through medicine knowledge with patient’s comfort and ease as strategies through Doctors for 25 years. In this life cycle I met with lots of accidents with major bike fall during official field work. Due to a crushed knee my career was compromised after major operations. I still continued with my profession, However at present the same knee again broke and I underwent a second operation and left my job. At Present I have found another way to serve people by making them realize their happiness through the law of attraction techniques , just on the basis of science and no logic. I would also like to enter a digital pharma career and thus learn digital marketing from Digital Azadi school. Thus I prepared this website through the simple learnings from this school. Just with the ambition and dream to Serve! Serve! Serve! You all.
This is my life’s Roller Coaster Ride which I have been enjoying for 49 years.
Are you ready to join me and give me the opportunity to SERVE YOU?
